Data and AI: common questions
Do we need a data platform before using AI?
Not always. Some AI features, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, work with the content already in Microsoft 365. But their results depend on how well that content is organised and secured, so a short readiness review is almost always worthwhile.
What does an AI readiness assessment cover?
Data sources and quality, access and permissions, security and compliance requirements, skills and processes, and candidate use cases ranked by value and risk. You get a short plan, not a long report.
Can our data and AI workloads stay in India?
Often yes. Azure has regions in Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. Not every service is available in every region, so we check availability for the services you need before design.
